Who is Apocalyptic Mother?
The Goddess has a thousand faces, and Apocalyptic Mother is the face of the Goddess for our times. She brings the medicine we need as the old systems crumble and we are tasked with creating something altogether new.
For centuries, the feminine has been down in the Underworld, waiting for the time when She would emerge again and bring balance to a burning world. Apocalyptic Mother is equal parts loving and fierce. She stands for the suffering world, and shows how holding paradox and liminality become the holy ground of the (r)evolution.
(r)evolution like evolution, like the natural movement of cycles and seasons, like the turning of
a great Wheel.
It is time for the Wheel to turn now to love, resilience, vulnerability as strength, the understanding that every death is paired with a birth.
With courage, we learn to face the certainty of death, find that it is safe, and begin to live oriented to the Long Self. Like Spider Woman, we learn to weave the fabric of many lifetimes together, all for love.
All change, all growth, presupposes the death of the old. Apocalyptic Mother precipitates the death of values which are rooted in
fear and power.

We grew up without rites of passage. It's time to decondition from the Overculture—the mind virus that tells us to stay small, helpless, exhausted, hopeless, but never let it show. Only by discovering the Goddess within our rejected physical and emotional bodies can we hear our own authentic voices. We move from helpless to helper. We remember that we are the ones we’ve been waiting for. We turn towards our own soft bellies. We journey down and in and tend to the uncried cries. We remember that the fastest way to go is slow.
Apocalyptic Mother calls us to free our bodies, our Wounded Maidens from the past. No part gets left behind, and we move at the pace of the most vulnerable part. We learn to arrive into the ecstatic present moment. Apocalyptic Mother calls us from Evolution through Suffering into Evolution through Joy and Creativity.
And, you don’t have to do it alone. Join a community of women just like you. Women from all walks of life who are answering the call from deep within. Who know that it’s time for a new way of being and doing; whole new levels of safety and care in relationships with ourselves, with each other, and with our Mother Earth. We are stronger together.
